This event does not offer Level 1 or absolute beginner workshops. To join the classes, you should already be comfortable with West Coast Swing basics.
Level 2
You can confidently dance your basics (sugar push, side passes, tucks, and whips) and a few variations. You keep time comfortably and want to grow more in your technique. You’re ready to expand your repertoire with more variations, patterns, and styling options.
Level 3
You dance regularly with both friends and new partners, have started exploring musicality, and understand the fundamentals of good technique. You’re ready to refine your connection, deepen your musical expression, and add more complex variations and patterns. Recommended for WSDC Novice.
Level 4
You’re comfortable dancing to a wide range of tempos and make rhythm and styling choices that suit the music. You are working toward co-creating the dance. You’re ready for more intricate technique, shared creativity, and nuanced partnership dynamics. Recommended for WSDC Novice/Intermediate.
